The airport is located on the island of Stord, on the west coast of Norway.
It currently serves scheduled flights to Oslo.
The airport occasionally also serves charter flights, and is in addition used for training purposes by helicopters and general aviation aircraft.
During alternating summers, the airport is host to Stord Airshow, displaying a variety of aircraft on the ground and in the air.
The latest airshow held during the summer of 2023.

Cyprus has two international airports, Larnaka and Pafos Airports. Hermes Airports assumed management of both airports on 12 May 2006 under a 25 year BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) concession agreement with the government of Cyprus. Hermes is a company registered in Cyprus - an international consortium of 9 shareholders, representing a mix of Cypriot and international partners.
The construction contract is the biggest ever undertaken in the Republic, with the Build-Operate-Transfer project being the first privatisation of its kind in Cyprus. The new passenger terminal in Pafos opened in November 2008, and in Larnaka, in November 2009.
The new airports offer world class, state of the art facilities, with an emphasis on excellent customer service. Together, the two airports handle over 7 million passengers, annually.

Indira Gandhi International Airport (IATA: DEL, ICAO: VIDP) is the international airport of Delhi (also known as New Delhi, NCR of Delhi) and the busiest airport of India.
