The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is a not-for-profit center for engineering, research and development. Located north of Washington, DC, APL is a division of one of the world's premier research universities. We recruit and hire the best and the brightest from top colleges, and 68% of our recruits are engineers and scientists. We work on more than 600 programs that protect our nation and advance America's vision in research and space science.
At the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (KITP) on the UC Santa Barbara campus, researchers in theoretical physics and allied fields collaborate on questions at the leading edges of science.
Welcome to the official YouTube channel for the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford. Here you will find a variety of material, ranging from formal lectures to fun staff & guests videos. Our aim is to educate and share the wonderful world of Physics to all, no matter what previous knowledge of physics you have. After all, Physics is the science of Everything!
Shared material or videos made by individuals that may be shared here, may not necessarily represent the views of the Department.

Gibt es Paralleluniversen? Was ist Zufall?

The Faculty of Physics of ITMO University originates from the International Research Centre of Nanophotonics and Metamaterials whose employees have been successfully carrying out research since 2009. Our team began as a small laboratory and has grown into a large scientific and educational organization in 13 years.
Here, over 20 research areas are being developed: nanophotonics, quantum optics, optoelectronics, optomechanics, biophotonics, radiophysics, new materials.
We follow the concept of “new physics” that represents the ongoing development of the Department: discovering new lines of research, a fundamentally new approach to educating students, an atmosphere of creative freedom, confidence in young colleagues, supporting personal growth of employees, and strong administrative team. We are in love with physics, and we are doing our best to be the best place for realizing the most creative breakthrough ideas!
Our mission at the Mainz Institute for Theoretical Physics (MITP) is to provide unique opportunities for cross-disciplinary exchange between researchers from different fields of expertise in theoretical physics. Our series of scientific programs and short topical workshops attract leading international researchers working in theoretical particle, hadron, atomic and mathematical physics
The scientific activities at MITP are devoted to topics of forefront research in theoretical physics. They are intended to stimulate discussions and collaborations among the participants with the goal of generating new ideas and developing new tools and methods. An annual school provides in-depth training for the future generation of theoretical physicists.
We are committed to increasing diversity in all our activities.
MITP is part of the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence.
The Department of Materials aims to be a highly creative research and learning environment in materials science and engineering, generating the materials of the future.
